John BarkleyJohn is a chartered civil engineer. He has worked for a number of local authorities up to director level, and also as an independent management and transport consultant. He lives in Baslow and is concerned about climate change and ways of protecting our countryside while sustaining local economic activity.

Philip HetheringtonPhilip has worked as a manager in the steel industry and as a consultant. He is particularly keen to protect our open spaces and to encourage others to understand, value and enjoy them.

John O'DonovanJohn has recently retired from the University of Sheffield after a lifetime working in higher education, including work in planning and policy development. He has a passion for the countryside and is interested in the effects of globalizationand and climate change on the environment and protection of the countryside.

Chloe PalmerChloe is regional director of the Farming and Wildlife Advisory Group and is passionate about British farming and the countryside. She was born in South Yorkshire, and now lives in the Peak District. She has just completed a Nuffield Farming Scholarship looking at the future viability of hill farming in the UK.

Anthea RawlenceAnthea is a chartered surveyor who has worked for English Nature in the Peak District. She works part-time for the environmental charity BTCV and also sits as a valuer member on the Residential Property Tribunal Service. She has lived in the Peak Park for over thirty years.

David SchwarzDavid recently retired from Unilever and is now a part-time business advisor and external tutor with Cambridge University's Insitute for Manufacturing. He wants to see the landscape preserved for future generations while supporting appropriate economic regeneration.

Chris Sparshatt - TreasurerChris retired as Chief Internal Auditor for the Learning and Skills Council in 2006, after a career as a civil servant specialising in governance and risk management. He is particularly keen on countryside preservation whilst allowing for appropriate and sustainable development of rural areas.

Isabella Stone - Vice ChairIsabella's career in local government management has given her experience in many areas of public policy including regeneration, community development and partnership work. She is expected to join the Derbyshire Probation Trust Board in April 2010. She has lived in Matlock for 16 years, is deeply concerned about climate change because she loves the countryside.

Richard WadeRichard lives in Dodworth, Barnsley and is Quality Manager for Ufi Learndirect in Sheffield. He has been involved in scouting since a boy, and volunteers as Assistant County Commissioner for Development. He is keen to promote the countryside to everyone while ensuring sustainable development for its residents.

George Wolfe - ChairGeorge has lived in the Peak District for thirty years, and worked as solicitor for the Peak District National Park Authority for 18 years with experience of planning and countryside matters. He has represented Friends of the Peak District on the CPRE East Midlands Regional Group and volunteers with Derbyshire Wildlife trust and Hope Valley Car Scheme.
