John BarkleyJohn is a chartered civil engineer. He has worked for a number of local authorities up to director level, and also as an independent management and transport consultant. He lives in Baslow and is concerned about climate change and ways of protecting our countryside while sustaining local economic activity.

Pat ColemanPat has lived in or around the Peak District for most of her life. She has a 40 year career in local government, including as Deputy Chief Executive of Manchester City Council. She lives in Youlgrave, until recently was a member of the PDNPA and also holds board positions in health and probation in Derbyshire.

Steve ConnellyAfter a career in overseas rural development, Steve now teaches environmental policy and researches local governance and sustainability at the University of Sheffield. He lives in Sheffield, is an enthusiastic walker, cyclist and climber, and committed to promoting socially just and environmentally sustainable development.

Martin HofmanMartin moved to Derbyshire in 2007 and runs Wheeldon Trees Farm Holiday Cottages, south of Buxton, with his wife. He is particularly interested in the challenges presented by preserving the countryside at the same time as maintaining and developing a vibrant local economy.

John HoareJohn moved to Tickhill near Doncaster nearly 20 years ago to serve as Diocesan Director of Education (Sheffield) for the Church of England. He has served as a councillor in Doncaster, CPRE Yorkhsire and Humber regional chairman, and has been a member of National Trust Council since 2007. His interests include walking, botany, and the history of architecture and gardens.

Adrian James - Vice ChairAdrian is a former senior probation officer, and now Emeritus Professor of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Sheffield. He lived in Yorkshire for nearly 50 years, and moved to the Peak District 2003. He is a keen photographer, and keeps bees, chickens, ducks, geese and the occasional sheep.

John Layton - TreasurerJohn is a chartered accountant and a chartered public finance accountant with a long career providing financial advice to the public, private and voluntary sectors. John moved to Derbyshire in 2009. He enjoys the Peak District countryside and is keen to protect the environment, and share those values with others.

Chris SparshattChris retired as Chief Internal Auditor for the Learning and Skills Council in 2006, after a career as a civil servant specialising in governance and risk management. He is particularly keen on countryside preservation whilst allowing for appropriate and sustainable development of rural areas.

Isabella Stone - ChairIsabella's career in local government management has given her experience in areas of public policy including regeneration, community development and partnership work. She is on the Derbyshire Probation Trust Board. She has lived in Matlock for 16 years, is deeply concerned about climate change because she loves the countryside.

Yvonne WitterYvonne has worked for both the statutory and voluntary sectors, and loves being outdoors and walking in the countryside. She is interested in protection of the countryside and access for local people and visitors to enjoy it, and is a Mosaic and Peak District Champion with the Campaign for National Park's Mosaic project.
