Volunteer
"The insights, new skills and new knowledge I have gained will be of great benefit to my degree and possible future career in environmental campaigning."
Robert Doole, Communications Volunteer
Friends of the Peak District was inspired and founded by volunteers passionate about countryside protection. And today volunteering is still key to our effectiveness and achievements. We have a team of over 50 volunteers of all ages, from a range of backgrounds and working on a really broad range of subjects.
We're looking for...
- At the moment, we need promotion volunteers. The main task is to take out new membership leaflets out to cafes, restaurants, pubs and other tourist businesses in the Peak District. To find out more, please contact Lindsay Doyle-Price.
- We also need area fundraising volunteers to be the main point of contact for our community fundraising in a particular patch of the Peak District. Please get in touch with Danny Anderson for more information.
- You could also have a look at our conservation volunteering.
We'll give you the chance to
- learn new skills
- gain work experience
- meet interesting people
- make a positive contribution to the natural environment
We'll also pay for your travel expenses and refreshments.
We'll need from you
- a commitment to the task
- a willingness to join in
- flexibility
- a couple of references
To find out about future volunteering opportunities, give Lindsay Doyle-Price an email, telling us why you want to volunteer with us.
