Volunteer

Friends of the Peak District was inspired and founded by volunteers passionate about countryside protection. And today volunteering is still key to our effectiveness and achievements. We have a team of over 50 volunteers of all ages, from a range of backgrounds and working on a really broad range of subjects.

We need your help!

  • Trust fundraising volunteer

No previous experience necessary, but you will need to be able to use the internet. To find out more please contact Danny Anderson.

  • Membership recruiters
We're looking for volunteers to help us to attract new members to our charity in key Peak District locations. We need friendly, outgoing people to approach visitors to the Peak District and ask them to support our work in protecting its beautiful landscapes. Volunteers are needed with activities taking place on week days and weekends during the spring and summer. Any help is appreciated - from just a single day to more regular help throughout this period. To find out more please contact Danny Anderson.

  • Door droppers
We need volunteers to help drop membership leaflets out to cafes, pubs and tourist business in the Peak District, Sheffield and other surrounding areas. This mainly takes place in March, April and May, and October and November. However much time you can offer is appreciated - from just one day through to a longer period. To find out more please contact Danny Anderson.
