Events - Lathkill Dale and the Nine Ladies Stones

This lovely day walk will take in the Lathkill Dale Nature Reserve, the lovely village of Youlgreave and some stunning views along the famous Limestone Way.  Before we arrive at the prehistoric Nine Ladies stone circle. From here we head across Stanton Moor and back for a well deserved pint or glass of wine.

The Nine Ladies is a small early Bronze Age stone circle traditionally believed to depict nine ladies turned to stone as a penalty for dancing on Sunday. It is part of a complex of prehistoric circles and standing stones on Stanton Moor.

This is an intermediate level walk. Although more challenging than a beginners walks, it is suitable for most people. We will be covering a distance of between 7 to 10 miles using well marked routes and footpaths. Typically we will be crossing fields, open moor land and the ground maybe slippery under foot and muddy.

Cost: Free to Friends of the Peak District members, or people with a Large Outdoors loyalty pass. Otherwise £6.50
