Enhancing the Peak District Countryside
CPRE, Peak District & South Yorkshire's positive role in enhancing the countryside within the Branch area has led to our involvement in a number of schemes and projects either alone, as in the Countryside Awards or in partnership with others.
The Countryside Awards formerly known as the CPRE Merit Awards or Countryside Design Awards, are a superb opportunity to reward projects and initiatives that make a positive, visible contribution to the enhancement of the Peak District countryside. Presented annually since 1982, the Countryside Awards are a well respected and distinguished accolade.
If there is a project in the Peak District which you think deserves an award please contact us for more information. Submissions may be made by any person, community group, organisation or Local or Central Government Authority or Agency and must be received by 30th June in the year of entry.
Free and easy to enter, the Awards scheme is intended to showcase and reward the best and most innovative work in building design, landscape architecture and access and interpretation applied to projects in the Peak District.
This year we are delighted to announce that the Countryside Awards will include the Peak District National Park Authority's Special Award for Craftsmanship in Building.
A wide range of projects will be considered providing they meet with our conditions of entry. If you would like to find out whether your project qualifies or if you would like to enter, telephone 0114 266 5822 for an application pack. Alternatively, you can download and print the Entry Form and the Eligibility & Rules document. (Adobe PDF Document format - opens in a new window).
