Two Queens and a Countess

2nd Nov 2011 @ 19:30

David Templeman is a popular local historian who specialises in Tudor history. In this talk he looks at the intense rivalry and blazing ambitions between Mary Queen of Scots, Elizabeth I and Bess of Hardwick.

David will also talk about the three women's youth - but he doesn't focus on their individual life stories. Instead he concentrates on the struggle between them. Find out who were the winnners, and who were the losers. It may not be as straightforward as you think....!

Cost: Friends of the Peak District members - free; non-members - £5
