Discover the real ale pubs of the Goyt Valley

29th Jan 2012 @ 10:00

Join us for a gentle seven mile walk with plenty of pub stops. All the pubs will be traditional real ale pubs, giving you plenty of chances to sample some great local ales. This event starts at Whaley Bridge train station so you can get the train and really enjoy the real ales on offer. We will be stopping off for a spot of lunch at one of the pubs as well.

This walk is suitable for beginners. It is less than seven miles, and very easy to navigate along paths and tracks.  There could be small obstacles such as gates and stiles and the route could involve crossing open farmland.  However the terrain should be easy under foot with trainers or walking boots (good condition and good tread) being suitable.  Please note that if you wear trainers they are not likely to be waterproof and the chances are you will have wet feet by the end of the walk.
