Snitterton Hall Open Gardens
The glorious gardens of this Grade 1 listed Elizabethan manor house are opening to members of the public on Sunday 1st September with all proceeds going to the Friends of the Peak District.
Originally built in the 1630s, Snitterton Hall was recently restored to its original Elizabethan splendour amid much local curiosity. As well as being a much loved family home, it is a rare surviving example of an Elizabethan manor house in a substantially original state.
The beautiful gardens were also lovingly restored in late Elizabethan-Jacobean style with extensive lawns, terraces and formal box hedging. They contain original pavilions, stables, entrance gateway and a amazing semi-underground swimming pool.
Adults £4 (three people for £10), under 16's £2, under 5's free - tickets available on the day.
