Western Hub Meeting - Buxton

16th May 2018 @ 18:30 @ 20:00

What’s under threat near you? What concerns do you have in your area? Which campaigns do you need support for?

This is the first meeting of the new Western Hub, an active group of people working together on different projects on the western side of the Peak District (from Marsden in the north, to Leek in the south).

There are many issues that need our attention, such as: housing developments in Whaley Bridge, green field developments in Glossop, undergrounding of pylons in Longdendale Valley, quarries in and around Buxton, major road building, public rights of way deterioration and off-roading on green lanes.

If you’d like to help us fight campaigns on the ground, or keep an eye on inappropriate planning applications in your area, or galvanise local support for a local issue, why not come along!

We are very grateful to the Buxton Civic Association for allowing us to use their meeting room at Poole's Cavern in Buxton for no charge.

There's another meeting on Wednesday 23rd May at 12.15pm in the Bridgend Centre in Bollington if you can't make this meeting.
