This year’s FSI challenge fun run and walk is going to be even more fun – and we’re looking for runners and walkers to take part. The 2012 Challenge will take place at Thornbridge Hall in the Peak District on Saturday the 30th of June. Please join in and raise money for Friends of the Peak District.
2012 marks the fifth anniversary of the FSI challenge! Over the past four years hundreds of runners for small charities have come together with their supporters to run, walk or even stilt walk the 10km or 4km route through the picturesque Peak District. To mark the occasion, we’re planning to make this year the biggest and the best!
In 2011, 190 runners and walkers descended on Thornbridge Hall for the CHALLENGE. Runners and walkers experienced the beauty of the stunning Monsal trail before crossing the finishing line on the lawn at Thornbridge Hall. It was a great day with a wonderful atmosphere topped off by the glorious sunshine.
Pitch up your tent!
It gets even better because again this year we are offering runners, walkers and supporters the opportunity to camp overnight and join the FSI for a barbecue on the Saturday evening. You can then enjoy a garden party at Thornbridge on the Sunday.
The 4 or 10km course can be walked or run by participants of almost any ability – so you don’t need to be an accomplished athlete to take part. So please – support us by either running or walking whilst raising funds for Friends of the Peak District’s vital work protecting Peak District landscapes!
To take part
There is no entrance fee and camping is also free. We just ask that if you take part you raise sponsorship for our work.
