Three popular local authors who love the Peak District are joining forces to read from their books and raise money for charity.The Peak District Story Jam is on Saturday 3 November at Harland Café Sheffield, in aid of Friends of the Peak District.
Rony Robinson, Radio Sheffield Broadcaster and much-loved local wit and writer, will be reading from his memoirs, Who’s Been Talking.
Simon Beckett, International best-selling author and Sheffield resident, will be reading from his Dr David Hunter series of books.
Samantha Priestly, local debut novelist, will be reading from her novel, Despite Losing it on Finkle Street
The Cotton Grass Theatre are supporters of the local countryside charity, and have organised the event to raise money for its work.“We’ve managed to get a really eclectic collection of writers together for the Peak District Story Jam: funny, spooky and moving. So it’s going to be a great evening for lovers of literature, who can help look after the Peak District at the same time,” said Sue Daniel of Cotton Grass Theatre.
