In Boundary Walk

The Ramblers Holidays Charitable Trust is a long standing charity which, since 2006, has paid out £2.75m to fund schemes and activities which protect footpaths, enhance the beauty of the countryside, provide facilities for of walking and other outdoor recreational activities together with educating people in all aspects of the countryside.

We’re delighted that they agreed to support the Peak District Boundary Walk with a project grant of £2,000.

As a charity, our raison d’être is to protect and enhance the natural beauty of the landscape for the benefit of the public, to prevent damage to it and protect it from inappropriate development. The boundary walk not only encourages walkers to enjoy some quiet and lesser known corners of the national park, it also promotes our work to a wider audience, educating them about the issues which threaten the countryside, and the ways in which they can support us to protect it.

The purpose of the Ramblers Holidays Charitable Trust project is to protect the footpaths over which the boundary walk is routed, to engage local communities and businesses with our work, and to promote the boundary walk itself.

Further funding is now being sought to help enhance the route further.
