Join us for a fascinating walk around the beautiful village of Middleton-by-Youlgreave and find out about the Sites of Meaning project. This project marks the seventeen entrances to the parish of Middleton and Smerrill with boundary stones, each inscribed with a text chosen by members of the parish. Find out more at www.sitesofmeaning.org.uk
The walk is led by Frank Mason, a Peak Park Ranger, and should finish at about 4.45.
(By the way, nearby Lomberdale Hall is opening its gardens to the public for the first time on the same day. They’re open between 10am and 5pm so you could easily pop over there too.)
The Square, Middleton DE45 at 1.45
The 171 bus leaves Bakewell at 1.15. There’s no return bus when the walk finishes, so please let the organisers know if you’d like a lift back to Bakewell.
£2.50 (all profits to Friends of the Peak District)
