Volunteer for us
Friends of the Peak District was founded by volunteers passionate about countryside protection. And even today, volunteering is still key to our effectiveness and achievements. We have many volunteers working on a really broad range of tasks and subjects; some for a couple of hours a week, some for one-off events.
Whether you have a few hours, a day, a week or a month to give, there are plenty of opportunities to help.
We’re currently looking for an Honorary Treasurer
Are you passionate about the countryside? Do you have a good head for figures? We are looking for a hands-on Hon. Treasurer to join our Board of Trustees. This is an exciting opportunity to bring your financial expertise to a highly regarded local environmental charity as part of the team of volunteers (Board of Trustees) who provide governance and direction for our work.
You will have key skills in book-keeping, accounting, financial forecasting, and IT preferably with experience of Quickbooks or similar packages.
You will need to understand the role of trustees and have skills, experience and commitment that will help us achieve our objectives.
This is an unpaid post but reasonable expenses (travel etc) will be remunerated.
