Volunteer for us

Friends of the Peak District was founded by volunteers passionate about countryside protection. And even today, volunteering is still key to our effectiveness and achievements. We have many volunteers working on a really broad range of tasks and subjects; some for a couple of hours a week, some for one-off events.

Whether you have a few hours, a day, a week or a month to give, there are plenty of opportunities to help.

Website development

We want to transfer our old CPRE South Yorkshire website to a brand new WordPress website. CPRE – the countryside charity, have launched a new look, a new brand, and you’ll soon see them on a national advertising campaign. Our old site is in desperate need of a revamp. We have a website in the making, with templates and empty pages, ready to be filled.

If you’d like to help us upload snappy text and beautiful images to help us inspire people to support our vital work protecting the countryside of the Peak District and in South Yorkshire, please get in touch. All the WordPress template pages already exist and we’ll provide the text so you could just copy and paste. But we’d also love to talk to you if you think you can help us improve the quality (and SEO friendliness) of what we write. If you’d like to know more, please email julie@friendsofthepeak.org.uk
