Part of the Peak District Walking Festival.

We head along the Roaches for this stunning walk along the western edges of the Peak District, enjoying views over the plains of Staffordshire and Cheshire.  From the ridge we drop down in to ancient woodlands and have a chance to explore Lud’s Church, a deep and secluded chasm.

This walk is intermediate level. Although more challenging than our beginners walks these walks are suitable for most people. We will be covering between seven and ten miles using well marked routes and footpaths.  Typically we will be crossing fields, open moor land and the ground maybe slippery under foot and muddy.  We will have to negotiate stiles and small obstructions all of which are achievable with care.  Sturdy suitable footwear is highly recommended for this walk, if in doubt about your footwear please contact Large Outdoors for more advice.
