Our good friends at Cotton Grass Theatre are putting on a couple of special productions of their brilliant play The Unreturning Army:
Derbyshire Dales and the Great War.
It’s a story of love, loss, patriotism and great bravery told with songs, reminiscences and the journalism of the time. The Unreturning Army is an evolving show, featuring the poems of Siegfried Sassoon, Wilfred Owen as well as the experiences of Horace Johnson, Vera Brittain and other local people.
Performed yearly for Remembrance Sunday – this year Cotton Grass are kindly giving the profits to Friends of the Peak District. This performance is taking place at the stunning Thornbridge Hall.
Tickets are £10 at the door, but ring the box office on 07920 755435 to reserve seats. Performance starts at 7.30pm
